OPI - Black Satin

Nail love of the day, OPI Black Satin. This color originally surprised me how much I liked it, it is a beautiful black pearl charcoal metallic. It looks like wearing pearls on your nails, and has a lot more light and glow to it than I originally expected it to. Great formula, shown here with 2 coats in indirect sunlight against a charcoal heather background so you can see a comparison of shades.

Nail Polish Storage via Cake Platter

Thought this would be a cute solution to holding my nail polish with out looking too much like I live in a nail salon. This is one of those cake platters that also turns into a punch bowl, but I think it looks nice as something to have on display. Fits roughly 40-50 polishes. How do you store your nail polish? I may be needing a new system since my collection is outgrowing this!

Revlon - After Party ,OPI - Pros and Bronze

Two nails polishes I can completely recommend are Revlon - After Party and OPI - Pros & Bronze. Pros & Bronze is a very nearly opaque glitter that is easily opaque with 2 coats, a combination of copper, gold, and rose gold micro glitters. Revlon - After Party is a very opaque fast drying (as the name advertises) dark dusty blue. A great fall color or anytime if you want a less in your face more muted blue option. Great Formulations.

Butter London - Lady Muck, SOPI - Sparktacular

Butter London Lady Muck has become one of my all time favorite polishes. It has a very thin consistency and I sometimes do three coats, but the consistency and drying time makes it not a problem. It is a blue toned gray, with very subtle white shimmer that fancies it up just a but but it's not obvious to other people. Shown here with Sephora by OPI (SOPI) Sparktacular top coat, but I love it on it's own the most. Would definitely recommend if you are in the market for a blue gray beauty.

Ciate - Hopscotch

Wearing Ciate hopscotch today, a bright slightly reddish orange cream. Beautiful shiny almost gel like formulation, however as you can see a bit sheer even with two coats. Applied evenly and easily however and is a gorgeous color.

No top coat, they have a great gel like shine on their own.
Can't wait to wear this with a gold glitter.

Victoria's Secret Nail Laquer - I'm No Angel. Peep Show. Envied. Coral Crush.

Victoria's Secret has come out with a couple of different nail polish lines in the the past year or two. They have finally done it right! Their Latest Line which is now offered on their website (in most colors) is fantastic! The last Victoria's Secret line of nail polish was definetly hit and miss with some colors being good and others not worth your time at all. That line has disapeared and been replaced by a new line that is above and beyond, and even rivals some of my favorite opi and butter london polishes. I have tried 4 colors, 2 of which are glitters and every one has been a stunner. With Coral Crush being my favorite pink I own now. Take a look: (and click on the photos to see larger)

'I'm No Angel' in bottle, one of my favorite reds, a slight pink lean with beautiful cool pink shimmer mixed in, very easy to apply and dries quickly.

 'I'm No Angel'
(You can also see this on my nails in my top 13 beauty products video in the post below.)

'Coral Crush' ia a beautiful bright slightly warm/coral toned pink. Like I said this has become my favorite pink I own, however I do have a thing for coral! The formula makes me more likely to reach for it over my other coral pinks however. Great Formula, Great Drying time.

Shown on nails, Coral Crush topped with Peep Show. Peep Show is Sheer so the base color you are seing is Coral Crush. Peep Show Below is my favorite pink glitter top coat, and I am a glitter hoarder of sorts. It is fine pink glitter with a lot of sparkle and both cool and warm tones of pink, it occasionaly seems to have a slight duohrome sheen of a soft chamagne gold but it is very subtle.

Envied is a complex glitter with a sheer black base, it can layered to create an opaque glitter look or worn ontop of a dark polish. It has a beautiful combination of Emerald Green glitter, a bit of almost turquoise blue glitter, and super fine gold micro glitter which give it a lot of complexity.

above right - artificial light
below - sunlight
It looks more green, and the green really pops more than wanted to show up in the photos.
